STORE CLOSING – come get DUB PIES cheaper than ever!

As many of you avid pie fans may know, Red Hook (and by extension West Carroll Gardens/Columbia Waterfront) was, a few years ago, touted as being the next Williamsburg. We never believed the hype but we have no doubt that if several things had panned out differently – it would certainly have become a more active, vibrant and interesting neighborhood much more quickly than it is at the moment.

That's not to say the area doesn't have a lot to offer – it does. Indeed, we'll always have a soft spot for the neighborhood and we may consider having a presence there again one day. But with conditions as they are, we've decided not to commit to a lease renewal at the Columbia Street location – a.k.a. LET THEM EAT PIE.

It's a sad day. It was New York City's first down under style pie shop. In its 'hey day' it turned over more than twice what it does now, in pies and coffee. We tried to hold on for the turn of the economy, the oft promised improvements in local infrastructure etc etc - but it simply makes more sense to find a busier storefront to re-locate to – which is what we plan to do. Watch this space!

LET THEM EAT PIE will only be open this week on Wednesday (all day) and Thursday (until 3pm) – we invite you to come and say goodbye with/to us at this store and as a last hurrah we're offering hot pies at $4 each and frozen pies to take home for the holidays at $3.50 each!! (Our lowest price point ever!)

This offer is only good if you come to the store – it doesn't extend to delivery, sorry.

One piece of good news is that we plan to continue offering free delivery to the area as our production space is in Red Hook proper (sorry, we don't have a a storefront there – you'll need to come to The Pie Shop in Windsor Terrace for your Flat Whites and Aussie/Kiwi groceries/snacks.) There may be a short teething period as we set this up – please bear with us.

20% DISCOUNT –extended!

We've always made a habit of not extending discounts to individuals but we've had a lot of requests to do so this time – so we're extending the discount across the board so everyone can partake. Order now to enjoy 20% off all food products orderable through our website – until DECEMBER 24th. You must take delivery by the end of this month.

Deliveries normally made on Fridays will be made on Thursday this week and next week.

Note, the discount applies to all sweets as well as both sizes of our meat and vege savory pies - BUT we DO NOT ship the sweets, only the pies!

The discount will not apply to phone orders or pies purchased in our cafes (but you can order online and request to make a pick-up of frozen pies from one of the cafes – no minimum)
